Terms of Use
Version 3.3 · Effective 17 October 2026 · Applies to RallyReel 1.0 and later for iPhone
Apple's standard licence terms also apply to apps downloaded from the App Store. Where those terms and these ones conflict, Apple's take precedence for anything covering your licence to use the app. You can read them at apple.com/legal.
1. Your licence
RallyReel is made by Endevo (Sergei Benjamin Tabañar, sole proprietor). We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in line with Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
2. Your content is yours
Every recording, clip, and highlight reel you make with RallyReel belongs to you. We claim no ownership over it and no licence to use it. The app processes video on your device, and we do not receive it unless you turn on cloud backup for a session (§4), as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Accounts
Creating an account is optional — RallyReel's core recording, detection, and editing work fully without one. If you do create one (with Apple, Google, or email and password):
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure; you're responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, and in any case not under 13.
- One account is for one person; do not share credentials to let someone else access a subscription tied to your account.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that violates §9 (Acceptable use), attempts to abuse cloud storage, or is used fraudulently — we'll use judgment proportionate to the issue, and termination does not entitle you to a refund of Apple-billed subscription time already used.
- You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete account); see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that removes.
4. Cloud backup and your uploaded content
If you turn on cloud backup for a session, you're still the owner of that footage — backing it up does not change who owns it or grant us any licence to use it beyond storing and returning it to you. What gets uploaded, when, and where it's stored is described in the Privacy Policy.
Storage isn't unlimited. We may set reasonable limits on how much you can back up, and may decline or remove an upload that violates §9. You agree not to use cloud backup to store or transmit anything you don't have the right to record or share, or to attempt to access, download, or interfere with another account's stored content.
We may pause or discontinue cloud backup at any time.
5. Training contribution
If you turn on the training-contribution setting described in the Privacy Policy, you grant us a licence to use the feature rows and labels sent under that setting — never your video, audio, or thumbnails — to train, evaluate, and improve RallyReel's rally-detection model, including in versions of the app used by other players. This licence does not extend to your recordings, clips, or any other content, which stay governed by §2.
Turning the setting off stops future contributions and causes us to delete the rows you already sent, but it does not withdraw the licence for training already completed using them — see the Privacy Policy for exactly why that distinction exists and cannot honestly be promised away.
6. Recording other people
You are responsible for the footage you record. Pickleball is played with other people, often in public or shared venues, and the law about recording others varies by country and by state.
By using RallyReel you agree that you will obtain whatever consent is required from the people you film, respect the rules of the venue you are playing at, and stop filming anyone who asks not to be recorded. We cannot do this for you, and we are not responsible for how you use your footage, whether it stays on your device or you choose to back it up.
7. Subscriptions, promo codes, and referrals
RallyReel offers an auto-renewing monthly subscription that unlocks unlimited clip exports without a watermark, highlight reels, and backup of full recordings. The free tier includes a number of lifetime exports, then one a day, each carrying a RallyReel watermark. While the referral program below runs, every five successful referrals add one more free export a day, up to ten a day. The current allowance is shown in the app before you use it, and may change.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings, at any time.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; we cannot issue them ourselves.
- If you're signed in, we validate your subscription directly against Apple's own records so it carries over correctly to another device signed into the same account — see the Privacy Policy. Apple's records are authoritative; if our records and Apple's ever disagree, Apple's govern.
Promo codes. RallyReel promo codes are App Store offer codes. They are redeemed through Apple, in Apple's redemption sheet or on Apple's redemption page, and are subject to Apple's terms for offer codes, including who is eligible, when a code expires, and what the subscription costs after the offer period. Unless you cancel, the subscription renews at the regular price when the offer ends.
Referral program. A signed-in account has a referral code. A successful referral is a new account, under 14 days old, that enters someone else's code. Successful referrals raise only the free daily export allowance described above; they never unlock the subscription. By taking part you agree that:
- you will not refer yourself, or create or use fake, duplicate, or borrowed accounts or devices to earn referrals;
- each account can redeem one code, once, and each phone counts once;
- rewards have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or sold;
- we may change, pause, or end the program at any time, and may remove extra exports, or referrals, obtained by abuse of these rules.
How the program handles your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. What the app does not promise
Rally detection is automatic, and automatic means imperfect. RallyReel will sometimes miss a rally and sometimes cut one that was not a rally at all. We are honest about this inside the app — you can cut missed points by hand and delete wrong ones — but we do not warrant that detection is accurate or complete.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. In particular, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will preserve your recordings — whether stored only on your device or also backed up to the cloud. Video files can be lost to a full disk, a failed device, a mistaken deletion, or an interrupted upload. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot bear to lose.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use RallyReel, including its account and cloud backup features, to:
- record people without the consent you are required to obtain;
- harass, stalk, or intimidate anyone;
- break the law or the rules of the venue you are playing at;
- upload, store, or transmit content that infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have the right to record or share;
- attempt to access another account or its stored content, or interfere with our servers or storage;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the app's detection model, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Endevo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost recordings, arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for a RallyReel subscription in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Changes
What's new in version 3.3 (17 October 2026): §7, now titled "Subscriptions, promo codes, and referrals", describes the daily free allowance as it works with referrals (one a day, plus one for every five successful referrals, up to ten a day), adds the referral program's rules, and states that promo codes are App Store offer codes redeemed through Apple and subject to Apple's terms. No sections were renumbered.
What was new in version 3.2 (14 October 2026): §1 names who makes RallyReel. §2 now says plainly that we receive your video only if you turn on cloud backup. §4 states that cloud backup may be paused or discontinued. §7 describes the free tier and the subscription as they work today: free exports carry a watermark, and backup of full recordings is part of the subscription. §10 ties the liability cap to what you paid for a subscription, since the app itself is free. These terms skip version 3.1, which changed only the Privacy Policy, so that both documents share one version number. No sections were renumbered.
What was new in version 3.0: added §5 (Training contribution), covering the licence you grant if you turn on the opt-in, off-by-default feature-data contribution described in the Privacy Policy's §8. It does not touch §2 (your content is yours) or §4 (cloud backup). Sections previously numbered §5–§12 were renumbered §6–§13 to make room; no other content in them changed.
What was new in version 2.0: added §3 (Accounts) and §4 (Cloud backup and your uploaded content), and extended §6 (Subscriptions) and §8 (Acceptable use), as numbered in that version, to cover subscription validation against Apple and acceptable use of cloud storage. Everything else is unchanged from version 1.0.
We may update these terms as the app changes. The version and date at the top of this page will change, and material changes will be disclosed in the app. Continuing to use RallyReel after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict of law rules. This does not deprive you of any protection given by the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
